Original WW2 German Uniform M34 Pony Fur Tornister Backpack 1937 Marked

Description

The M34 relies on standalone leather shoulder straps to distribute its weight across the soldier’s back and attach to the belt; however, this pack is missing one side of these straps, but replacements can be found cheap online. It also featured a wood interior frame which this pack bears. Pony fur is in decent shape with a few bald spots. The leather shoulder strap is slightly dry and the one shoulder strap is missing. The strap that is there, is dated 1936 and complete with hardware. The two front closure straps are dry, curled, and cracking. This definitely still has life left it and can be used for display or reenactment if you find some straps to go with it. I recommend putting some leather conditioner on to make the leather more pliable. Manufacturer marked and dated 1937.
