Description

Purpose: This heavy canvas bag was designed to store and transport a folded inflatable life raft or assault boat used by the Kriegsmarine (Navy) or other branches like the Luftwaffe.

Manufacturer Information: The yellow paper labels glued to the canvas contain technical instructions and manufacturer details. The left label identifies it as a “Packhülle für Marine-Einmann-Schlauchboot” (Pack hull for Marine-Einmann rubber boat) and includes spaces for the factory number and year of manufacture.

Handling Instructions: The right label titled “Zur Beachtung!” (Attention!) provides care instructions, such as:

  • Treating the hull with care to avoid damage.
  • Prohibitions against throwing, pushing, or dropping the packed boat.
  • Protecting the rubber material from oil, fat, and sharp objects.

Condition: The labels are in great condition. The metal hardware are rusty and the buttons do not snap together because of that. There are some minor tears along the sides. Does not come with the rubber boat, this is just the backpack that held it. Straps are intact and in good shape complete with hook hardware. The pull cord with wood handle is still present.
